Block Tales FAQ

Block Tales is a Roblox turn-based RPG inspired by classic story-driven games. You move through chapters, fight bosses, collect swords, and build a deck of cards. It is made by Spaceman Moonbase. As of Demo 5 (April 2026), the game includes five major story chapters after the Prologue.

You can play Block Tales solo. You might see other players in the same server, but the story chapters are built as single-player adventures—you are not co-op fighting through the main quest together.

Progression does not work like a classic JRPG level grind. Your strength comes mostly from your card build. Cards such as Defend+ from the Pit permanently raise your defense.

Check your deck for Thick Skull. That passive turns off XP gain. Take it out and XP will return to normal.

BUX are hidden across the world. There are 49 in total across every chapter, the Pit, and Demo 5 areas. Use our BUX guide for the full checklist with hints.

TIX is battle currency. You earn it from fights and spend it in shops on food. Food restores HP or SP in battle—or applies useful effects.

There is a Prologue plus five main chapters in Demo 5 (April 2026). Each chapter usually ends with a big boss and a new sword.

Call Cards are powerful actions that summon a named ally for a big swing in battle—examples include Call Griefer, Call Calypso, and Call Cruel King. Most are tied to quests or specific fights.

Beat Finn McCool, the optional super boss at Mount Red Sun in Chapter 4. It is one of the hardest fights in the game—gear up first.

In Chapter 3, inside Telamon's Manor, the Dream World has four paths: A, B, C, and D. They lead to Greed, Solitude, Fear, and Hatred. Hatred is the chapter’s main boss.

Each Defend+ copy gives +1 DEF while equipped. You can run up to three. All three come from the Pit floor 50 chest.

Demo 5 launched around April 24–25, 2026. It adds new story, characters, bosses (including Frostmaw and the Mutant secret fight), rewrites, and new cards.

Griefer is the main antagonist of Chapter 2. His real name is Brad Thaniyel, son of Mayor Thaniyel. The story gives him more depth than a simple villain.

Cassie Aphthiton is a major character in Demo 5. She joins you in the second half of the Chapter 5 storyline.

In Chapter 4’s Scorched Ruins, the Eastern Puzzle is one of four regional puzzles you need for progress toward the Temple of the Red Sun. Match stones to the recesses shown nearby.

In Chapter 3’s Catacombs, pull three levers in the order hinted by the colored floor tiles in front of each lever.

Eat an Apple to get an Apple Core, then cook the core into Compost. Combine items in cooking as recipes require—Compost pairs with other ingredients for certain dishes.

Demo 6 is not out as of April 2026. Demo 5 is the latest release. A follow-up demo is expected to continue the story, but there is no official date yet.
